The subjective nature of pain makes it difficult to quantify and therefore "believe".
It is different from BP which we can measure such as 145/50 or heart rate 90 or even cholesterol level, which we feel better medicating it !
Unfortunately, like high BP and a high cholesterol level, pain left untreated can have consequences that are not immediately apparent, and therefore, are under treated.
